Caching & freshness

Each server instance (for example each Worker isolate) caches snippets in memory and checks a revision number in plugin storage at most once a second. Every write, including the kill switch, bumps that revision. Changes reach every instance within about 1 second.

If your pages are served from an edge HTML cache, such as Cloudflare Workers Cache, visitors keep getting the cached HTML, with the old snippets, until you purge it. v0.1 doesn’t purge automatically.

Purge after you change snippets. For example, on Cloudflare Workers:

import { cache } from "cloudflare:workers";
await cache.purge({ purgeEverything: true });

Other plugins can add page fragments too. The order between their fragments and this plugin’s snippets is not guaranteed. Within this plugin, order is always set by priority.
